The Abortion Pill Info

We provide info on medical abortions, pregnancy options, and free limited pregnancy services. We are not a medical facility and do not provide or refer for abortions. Our on-site services are provided by Next Step Testing.

What is the abortion pill?

The abortion pill is two drugs and it is taken in two separate doses. Other names for the abortion pill are medication, medical, chemical or at-home abortion. It is not the same as emergency contraception.

How does it work? When is it taken?

The abortion pill is two different drugs, mifepristone and misoprostol, taken in one or two doses. The number of pills ordered can be determined by how far along you are.  A medication abortion is an early termination method. The abortion pill is not an option for people with certain medical conditions, if the pregnancy is not viable, or if the pregnancy occurs outside of the uterus.

If you have ordered or are planning on buying abortion pills online, the number of abortion pills needed to complete an abortion depends on how far along you are. Since due date calculators can be unreliable, we recommend an ultrasound verification so you can know for sure.
